To do so, I need to quiet the noise buzzing around my head and really look, really see. What is the essence of what I am seeing?
Here are the two books I purchased and look forward to reading:
- The Little Book of Contemplative Photography: Seeing with Wonder, Respect, and Humility by Howard Zehr
- God Is at Eye Level: Photography as a Healing Art by Jan Phillips
I haven't read them yet so cannot provide you with a review, but I look forward to sharing them with you in the near future!
Do you have a contemplative practice? Is it based on art or writing? Please share your experiences! We can learn from each other!

I don't have a contemplative practice of any kind, and I probably need one. One day maybe I'll take up photography too! Those sound like really interesting books, by the way. Let us know what you think about them.

I definitely will, Carmen! And, when you decide to take up photography, let me know! We can play and create and contemplate together! I'd love to see the world through your eyes!
